Weekday operations at Easter Airfield
Inbound Aircraft
1. Obtain PPR by calling 07967 715304.
2.Telephone the duty controller at RAF Tain on 01862 894164 (direct) or 01862
892185 (switchboard). Request a range briefing to coincide with your ETA.
3. Route to Easter Entry/Exit lane at Nigg Bay. Hold outside of D703.
4. Establish two way VHF communications with Tain Range on 122.750. Comply
with their instructions (your entry into D703 will most probably be not above
1000' on Tain Range QFE).
5. Depending onD the wind at Easter Airfield (which will almost certainly be the
same as that at Tain Range) position for a straight in approach for runway 06 or
join downwind RH for runway 24 RH.
6. Transmit as having landed when on the ground at Easter Airfield.
Outbound Aircraft
1. Telephone the duty controller at RAF Tain on 01862 894164 (direct) or 01862
892185 (switchboard). Request a range briefing to coincide with your ETD.
2. After your power checks, call Tain Range on 122.750 for a departure
clearance. Do not commence take off roll until two way communications
established.
3. Depart to Easter Entry/Exit lane at Nigg Bay in accordance with the noise
abatement procedures.
NB If Runway 06 in use, make an early left turn immediately you are airborne
and please do not overfly or fly near to the white bungalow on RWY 24 final.
